Its September 1996 and your brother, Eli, hasn't been heard from in the last few weeks. Despite you both being in your thirties, your mother Ruth spends no time having a conniption about it. 

It doesn't help that a few days ago Eli's computer showed up at your house in a box. The VarrOS machine probably cost him a fortune, but it had a note from him that simply read: "for Alex".

VerrOS: A Real Fake Operating System

Immerse yourself in VerrOS. Open all the apps, change all the settings, try to connect to email (its 1996 so it's going to take a minute). VerrOS has a real virtual file system, a real virtual terminal for the virtual OS and a real virtual implementation of a game about sweeping for mines.
